Another 1st at Mark and M.E. As I was trying to remove a very long and dense mound, I found myself doing smaller sections and throwing all of my weight into each pull. As I pulled one of the strips towards my body, I literally punched myself in the stomach. I've never been punched before; it didn't feel good.

I think it would be more fun to wax a design of the American Flag on men's backs and chests to celebrate our upcoming holiday. What do you think?

I walked into one of my wax rooms to find a Hispanic woman reading The Happy Hen House and laughing. She said she only read a little bit of the book but found it hysterical. She asked me if she could buy the book. I was excited to sell her a copy. She told me she loves to read but only reads books written in Spanish. The Happy Hen House was going to be the first book she read in English. I can't explain how amazing that made me feel!

More helpful waxing hints: You must breathe. Holding your breath can make you dizzy. It also makes your body more tense, which can make each rip more uncomfortable. When I wax myself, I always exhale as I pull the hair off. It definitely makes the wax removal experience more pleasant!

As with the other books, M.E. has not disappointed this reader! The storyline was exciting, and quite in line with current life situations. I'm (im)patiently waiting for the next installment!

The helpful wax hints continue.... Working out right after a wax isn't recommended. The increased body heat and sweat can irritate the pores causing increased redness and bumps. If you workout before your wax, however, we'd appreciate a quick shower before you come in.

More hints.... I know that getting a Brazilian Bikini Wax makes you feel really sexy, but you need to wait before you enjoy any sexy time. Waiting until the next day will give you a happy hoo-ha instead of a hurting one.

The hints keep coming....Make sure you give us at least 2 weeks since your last shave or trim. Otherwise, your hair won't be long enough to wax. If you think it's too long, no worries, we will trim it for you at no extra cost!

More helpful hints: I know that getting a Brazilian Wax may make you anxious, but you need to stop fighting us. It's very difficult to give you a thorough and efficient wax when you treat the service like a knock-down wrestling match. The more you fight, the longer it will take and the more irritation you may experience.

Ironically, Hump Day (a.k.a. Wednesday) tends to be the slowest day at Mark & M.E. Since we are happier when we are busy, we are running a very interesting special this week. Some more helpful wax hints: You need to let your hair grow for at least 2 weeks before getting a wax. Otherwise, it won't be long enough. Also, please don't trim your hair before your appointment. Nine times out of ten, you'll trim it too short and we won't be able to get all of your hair out. We want you to have a happy kitty, not a sad one.

Baby powder isn't the only thing that can clog your pores. Try to avoid putting lotion on your bikini area as well, unless, of course,  you're tanning naked. Protecting your delicate area with sunscreen is a must!

Helpful wax hints continue: Please do not put baby powder on the Brazilian area. It clogs the pores and can cause more ingrown hairs and irritation.

Helpful waxing hints continue...Take a shower as close to your appointment as possible and lightly exfoliate the area to remove dead skin cells and loosen ingrown hairs. This will make your waxing experience much easier and everyone will be happier!

Another helpful wax hint: Don't get high before your wax service. It dehydrates your skin, reduces your resistance and often causes paranoia. Wait until after the service to celebrate!

Helpful wax hint morning: Since your body is composed of roughly 60% water, then it's important to keep your skin hydrated. If you want to make your wax less painful and reduce your risk of getting irritated, drink up my friends!

Everywhere I go, I'm reminded of what I do for a living. I've spent a career tracking through the bush.

In my professional life, I thrive on making kitties hairless. In my personal life, however, I adore the hairy creatures. Please meet Leya and Loma. They are 19 month old cousins who will be released in the wild when they are 3-5 years old. They live in Zimbabwe and are currently learning how to hunt on their own. When we met them, they had recently killed a baboon. They didn't eat it though. Apparently, baboons don't taste very good.
