Did you ever really look at our Mark & M.E. logo? We had a local artist draw this up for us. Her name was Karen Tomascelli and she actually had a couple model for it. Originally the man had his right knee wrapped around her left thigh, but it looked too naughty so I had her remove his leg. (yes, I thought it looked naughty!😂) My concept was to have a naked man and woman encased in her long hair, which would represent that we were a unisex hair salon. Now that I look at it closely, I realize the couple doesn't have any body hair. When this was drawn, I had just started waxing and wasn't as obsessed with hair removal as I am now. It really is perfect!

 

 Imagine this scenario:

You come in to the salon with an overgrown bush in search of a silky smooth bikini area that is delectable and completely hair free. The technician puts wax on your mound that is so dense the warm extra sensitive product barely reaches the skin. As this same technician goes to put the strip on the wax, YOU CLOSE YOUR LEGS!!! Not only is this a terrible idea, you might as well glued your v-j-jay shut.

 My ancestry said I was European. Now it all makes sense why I am so addicted to Brazilian Waxing!

 I was watching some basketball and thinking about this past week at work. One of the funniest moments I could think of happened while I was waxing a young woman who gave me a really hard time. She kept sitting up and grabbing my arm.  Every time she would grab my arm, I would physically take her hand and put it on her boob. I told her I couldn't wax her with one arm so she needed to hang onto herself, not me. 

 It's funny how many women came in for Brazilians this week that were sporting the "natural look" on their legs. In case you were wondering, we can make the wax travel beyond the bikini line...

I'm pretty obsessed with these old lady waxing memes, and this one got me thinking;  it has to be a strange sensation to feel wind  blowing through your leg hair. I'm tempted to try it!😂

We would prefer if you waxed your legs but then I'm not sure how we could donate the hair that was encased in wax and stuck on the wax strip to the charity. It would create some funky wigs!

 Are you sick and tired of his family jewels being hairy or even worse - scratchy - and you want him to get a  Brazilian Wax? I bet suggesting it went over like broken glass in your gatorade. I know he is afraid that his majestic jewels will end up looking like a ruby when the service is over, but don't worry, I am here to help. Pick him up some coconut oil and have him use it every day after his shower. Hydrated jewels wax so much better than dry ones. Believe me, waxed jewels will make him a KING!

Hey, have you looked outside? There's this strange yellow thing making everything bright outside. I was confused what it was so I looked up its definition. "The heavenly body in our solar system whose light makes our day and around which the planets revolve." It's also the thing that makes you realize you have been hibernating too long and need a wax - desperately! Even though Mark and Mary Elizabeth are now out for a bit, we have a full staff at both locations ready to brighten your day! 

 

 A lot of women who are coming in for Brazilian Waxes this month are sporting hairy tree trunks. I guess you'd call this look an exaggerated mullet? We just wanted to let you know that this is a great time of year to start waxing your legs. 

Like the Egyptians, I'm a huge fan of proper grooming. This week I'm working at Mark & M.E. Tuesday from 9-6, Wednesday at Wax It All from 9-6 and Thursday at Wax It All from 9-2. I return to work March 22. Please plan your Egyptian Brazilian accordingly!

 

When clients move out of town, it's not the business I miss, but the people. I have experienced developing relationships, marriages, divorces, graduations, babies, infidelities...and the list goes on. The relationships established in the wax room are priceless and what I will miss on that fatal day I set my trusty jumbo popsicle stick down. As you can imagine, I get overjoyed when former clients come back for a visit. This was a message I received over the weekend and I am totally psyched to see where this woman's journey has taken her. Bartender, therapist, wax tech and friend. I love this industry more than you will ever know!

 

 Male Brazilians, Brozilians, Manzilians...whatever you want to call it works for us. It's a professional, legitimate service that more men are embarking on every day. There are times, however, when certain parts feel a little hot after the wax has been completed. Fortunately, we offer a product called No Trauma Momma that soothes the heat immediately. Face it, there are certain things you don't want hot. 

 Both salons were inundated with Spring Breakers this week, which was a lot different than the past two years. It was fun giving all of these young men and women their Brazilian Waxes so they could party in the tropics. It's exciting to feel like life is getting back to normal. Have fun everyone!

 Yesterday, a girl told me I was dope. Since getting high makes you happy, I took it as a compliment. Smoking also relaxes you, which isn't how most people would describe getting a Brazilian Wax. But I agree with Ted, getting waxed really isn't that bad!
