Although the natural look may be coming back, I still prefer the natural look of infancy.

One of the best parts of my jobs is the connection I make with women. One of my regulars brought in a friend. The friend was really nervous, because she had never gotten a Brazilian before. We laughed the whole time and she did really well. After she finished cleaning up, she asked permission to hug me. Of course I hugged her. I get hugged a lot. It's just funny when women ask to hug me before they put their pants back on.

The next installment of my more adult blog just went live. It can be found at www.apromiseofpassion.com   This was the innocent looking pic I attached to it.
A friend of mine was kind enough to send me an article about the correlation between waxing it all and STD's. One of the arguments is that a moist area breeds bacteria. That is one of the reasons to get rid of the hair; it makes the area less moist. If someone has chlamydia, gonorrhea or HPV, that person will spread it to an unprotected partner whether there is hair down there or not. Additionally, a urologist that I wax firmly believes that the risk of infection during surgery would be profoundly less if the patients would wax before their procedures instead of getting the area shaved by the nursing staff. There are also studies that have confirmed that pubic lice (aka Crabs) are virtually extinct since Brazilians have become so popular. No one will convince me that waxing will cause an STD. If you are one of the millions of men and women who prefer a perfectly smooth playing field, I say "don't worry, be happy!"

A man told his wife that he bought her an early Christmas gift that he left in their bathroom. When she walked in there, she saw a beautiful lingerie set on a hanger. When she walked out of the bathroom without it on, the husband asked if there was something wrong. She told him that she needed to see M.E. before she could put it on. She came and got a Brazilian early the next morning.

Back by popular demand, The Happy Hoo-Ha 12 Days of Christmas Song!

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
12 drooling daddy's
11 pussies panting
10 lips a lusting
9 labia dancing
8 mouths a munching
snatches smiling
6 guys a gawking
5 gold clit rings
4 cheerful beaves
3 frisky hoo-ha's
2 twinkly dildos
and his package standing tall like a tree.

Saturday, December 24, 2016

I receive the funniest messages from clients. A man told his wife that her puss growled at him. I'm not surprised. I haven't seen her in awhile! Happy Hoo-Ha Holiday Cheer!!

Friday, December 23, 2016

This is the start of many generous Christmas gifts from my awesome clients. This client liked the 'wax' on the top of the bottle. She thought it was appropriate since I wax her.  Little did she know that Makers Mark is Mark's favorite bourbon. She also noticed in a Facebook post that I liked Slim Jim's in my Bloody Mary's. Thank you to everyone who made Christmas week so much fun!
Tis the season of ugly sweaters. I had a woman ask me to get rid of her ugly sweater, and it wasn't a garment attached to her torso!

I love to tease how there is a difference between the way black women and white women deal with the pain of waxing. White women tend to swear like truckers. Black women, on the other hand, tend to scream for Jesus. Yesterday, I heard a new expression that I loved and couldn't wait to share. Instead of saying 'mother f'er' (which is a common expletive in the wax room by white ladies) a woman yelled 'mother nature!' What a pleasant way to express discomfort.

A woman asked me to leave the shape of a mistletoe on her bikini area. At first, I was perplexed how to form her hair into such an intricate design. So I had to ask her why she wanted that particular shape since I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off? She said she wanted her man to kiss her under the mistletoe. Who could argue with that? I had to try.

Tuesday, December 20, 2016

To all of my friends who love to have a Happy Hoo-Ha, please don't be afraid to contact me for an appointment this week. Sadly, we have had many cancellations due to illness and hectic schedules. Don't suffer with all of that extra tinsel on your tree. Come see me before Saturday. I want to make sure everyone has a Happy Holiday with their hairless hoo-ha's!
Please don't wait until the last minute to coif you cootch before Christmas. Call me today! And remember, Mark and I leave on Saturday for a really long time. You'd hate to get a chewbacca look-a-like doll under your Christmas tree. 585-473-7360
The Happy Hen House is now available at Barnes and Noble on NOOK! Not only is this a hilarious non-fiction book about the shenanigans that happen at Mark and M.E., I introduce my little voice (A gay Hispanic man named Raul) who speaks the truth. I've also hired an illustrator named Brian Robbins to demonstrate the 5 positions I put my clients in when they are getting a Brazilian in the most hysterical drawings.
It's a fun read for only 4.99.

After the stolen Cadillac debacle, you'd think Mark would be more conscientious about leaving things around the salon unattended. This morning, we went to Mark and M.E. to check the messages, feed the fish and shovel the walkway, but uh-oh....guess what's missing? Mark's favorite shovel has been stolen. He must have left it outside when he left Saturday. You have to appreciate that he believes in a world where your possessions are safe and everyone loves one another, but, once again, that was not the case. So off to Home Depot for a new shovel. I don't think Onstar will help us this time.

Thank you for the reviews on Amazon! I can't tell you how much it means to me. The latest for
A Promise of Passion was awesome. And don't forget that I've got 2 of my books on Nook and two more are in the process. Happy Sunday Everyone!

What a wonderful read! I couldn't wait to get emerged in the world this book brought me to each time I opened it. What a wonderful love story. I just started Passion Never Dies and can't put it down....Amazing Author
I waxed a woman from Painted Post NY this week. She said it was worth the drive to come to me since there weren't many salons in her town.  I've never been to that part of New York State before so I looked it up. The first thing I saw was a consensus from 2000 that said only 1842 people lived there. No wonder she came to Rochester for a Brazilian!

Saturday, December 17, 2016

Several women have made the comment to me this week that they always gain weight over the holidays. I have a suggestion to help combat that problem. Remove all of your body hair (that should eliminate a pound or more...) and have lots more sex! Just a thought...

Don't let the cold keep you from coming to see me. I've got the heat cranked and I promise to make you hot...in more ways than one! www.marknme.com

Thursday, December 15, 2016

Mark and M.E. is a popular place to patron before a vacation. I had a new client get a Brazilian with me before a trip to California to see family. She told her cousin about getting waxed. The cousin asked her if she got waxed by M.E. She laughed and said that she did. Coincidentally, the cousin is a former client of mine. One day, the cousin grabbed my arm so aggressively during a wax, she made my forearm bleed with her nails. Not only do I remember that incident, I wrote about it in one of my happy books. It's a small world.

Some women apologize when they are really hairy and tell me there is an animal down there. Today, someone told me she brought an entire zoo!
The Happy Hoo-Ha is now on NOOK! Give the gift of laughter this holiday season!

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

Give a gift that keeps on giving to your loved one this holiday season. It may be hard to wrap, but you could always put a bow on it. It may be slippery when wet, but that is half the fun. You might think it'll make you feel colder in our upstate New York climate, but not when that loved one can't keep his paws off of you. It'll make everyone hot and very, very happy.

Someone told me that Passion Never Dies has hotter sex than 50 Shades of Grey. OK, so how do I get  my sexy novel out there?!
Mark and M.E. recommendation for combatting the cold weather: one-on-one body heat sans the friction from unwanted body hair.

Sunday, December 11, 2016

You have ten business days to go to Mark and M.E. and get yourself ready for Christmas. Remember, it's more fun to be naughty when your parts are nice. Shout out an email to marknmesalon@gmail.com
After a comment someone made to me yesterday, I had to ask myself a question. Am I too racy?  Millions of men and women around the world get Brazilian Bikini Waxes. It's an extremely popular salon service. There is nothing sexual or dirty about it. (okay, sometimes it can be dirty...) It's a service that makes a client feel cleaner, sexier and more confident. A good technician focusses on the hair and should be oblivious to the fact that it is a penis or vagina she or he is working on. I do joke about my job, because I have a lot of fun doing it. However, even if I'm not focusing on a client's genitalia, I am still removing pubic and rectal hair for a living. You may call that racy; I call it funny.

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Mark and M.E. used to have a service on our menu called a Brazini. Basically, it was a Brazilian Bikini Wax that left either a landing strip or martini glass on the front. It was the same price as a Brazilian, but it confused our customers, so we took it off our menu. The other night, we went out for dinner. I asked the bartender to get me a glass of red wine. This is what she served me.

Check out my December article in the Rochester Woman Magazine online. It's easiest to access from their app. It's called Fighting Fibro With Laughter. It's about my personal journey. Would love to hear what you think!
FINALLY got another review of Passion Never Dies. Thank you so much!  Maybe this will tempt some of you to try it out!!

"What a great volume in the Passion series. Ms. Nesser is a phenomenal writer and storyteller. I was waiting for my mailman on delivery day. I read this volume cover to cover in one sitting. It was another amazing love story. It's hard to imagine experiencing a once in a lifetime love, but twice. Wow. You can feel the passion through every page. And don't think for one minute there won't be a cliffhanger !! Oh yeah. Volume 3. Cannot wait."

Thursday, December 8, 2016

It's a lot more fun playing with something you can see. I think it's time you see what Mark and M.E. has to offer. Not only are we "Home of the 10 Minute Brazilian," we are the most experienced waxologists (that's a made up word that makes us sound really fancy) in town!
My latest review of a promise of passion made me cry.  Thank you so much!

The ending shocked me! When I read this book I didn't anticipate the feelings I would develop towards the characters. I grew attached to the characters as I read the book. I only realized this when I got to the end and felt sadness, anger and even devastation. For an author to be able to write a story where the characters come alive and evoke such emotion is a true success! I have already started the second book and can't wait for more of this love story.

Don't forget that A Promise of Passion is now on Nook for only $4.99!

Yesterday, I wanted to search for a picture to go along with my hairy hoo-ha blog post. When I typed that expression in my search bar, the fourth item down said hosedownyourhooha by m.e. nesser. I was freaking out! All of my crazy blogging is out there. This morning I did it again just for shits and giggles and I came up 3rd!! Now I just need a comedian to come across my hoo-ha antics so we can collaborate and make the whole world smile!

Mark and M.E. has a saying that we like to share every year. It says "You can't have a Happy Holiday with a Hairy Hoo-Ha." So don't wait until the last minute to make your appointment. It's a super busy time of the year at Rochester's very own "Home of the 10 Minute Brazilian Wax!"

Monday, December 5, 2016

When the woman from yesterday's story saw her daughter waxing her stuffed animals, she wanted to videotape it and post it to my wall. She was worried, however, that people might criticize her for bringing her to Mark and M.E. When she asked her daughter what she was doing, the little girl said she was practicing so she could be like m.e. when she grew up.

Sunday, December 4, 2016

Last month, a woman brought her four year daughter to her wax appointment. The little girl was very interested in what I was doing, so I gave her a popsicle stick and wax strip to play with. That evening her mother found her playing in her bedroom with her stuffed animals. Not only was she pretending to wax her stuffed monkey, elephant and lion, she was making a grunting sound every time she pulled the strip.

Saturday, December 3, 2016

Mark and M.E. is feeling blessed tonight. Yesterday our daughter was in a bad car accident. Her car was totaled, but she was not. Thankfully, she is fine. How many times do we need reminders that every day is a gift? It wasn't my daughters fault. She had her seat belt on and the air bag did its job. We thank God she is okay. Don't take your loved ones for granted. Every moment should be treasured. It may sound cliche, but every day is truly a gift.

A Promise of Passion is now available on NOOK!! Since I don't have a tablet, please let me know if it downloads properly. It's only 4.99. And, as always, I would love a review! Thanks!!

Wooly mammoths and furry monkey's begone! December is finally here, which makes m.e. so happy. The phones are ringing and our garbage cans are filling up with unwanted hair!
The next installment of my passion blog just went live. It's an adult commentary and may not be suitable for all audiences. It is a true story about yours truly. www.apromiseofpassion.com  [Warning...The accompanying photos are a little risqué]

Only 9 1/2 hours of this hairy nonsense. Looking forward to cleaning up this town in December!

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

I've seen a ton of tattoos over the years and some amuse me more than others. Today, I had butt in my face that had a tattoo of a cupcake with the word delicious under it. I couldn't stop laughing. I guess she had a delicious derrière!!
Bring on the bush. I'm back for four weeks! 585-473-7360

Monday, November 28, 2016

Believe it or not, No Shave November is almost over. I can't wait to remove the hair on the men and women who grew it on places aside from their faces!

Sunday, November 27, 2016

I'm not sure if it's because I do Brazilians for a living and spend eight hours a day inspecting women's genitalia, but every time I pass by the coffee shop called Addicted To The Bean, I burst out laughing.

Saturday, November 26, 2016

I recently read an article that said that fiction lovers have more feelings. It made me think of my obsession with fiction, especially romance, I love to write and to read fiction. I also have a job that elicits a TON of feelings with every Brazilian performed. I realized that my life is surrounded by a plethora of feelings. I can deal with that.

Thursday, November 24, 2016

There is so much violence, hatred and ugly in our world that I feel overwhelmed by the gratitude that I feel for all of the good things in my life, especially my family. It's a shame that more people aren't thankful for the good things in their lives on more than one day of the year. Surround yourself with positive, loving people and be thankful every day. I know that we try to.  Mark and M.E. hopes everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, November 23, 2016

A Promise of Passion and Passion Never Dies are both available at Barnes and Noble online, which I am so excited about. I am currently in the process of having the first one available on Nook. Neither book has any reviews yet so there are no stars filled in under the pictures of the novels. Just one review for each would be huge so that the little stars get filled in! If any of you have a Barnes and Noble account and wouldn't mind reviewing them, I'd be psyched! Thanks!
An exchange between a husband and wife after an intimate encounter.
-Remember that lady you used to see on Mt. Hope?
-Yeah.
-Is she still in Rochester?
-I think so.
-Do you think she's still working?
-I think so.
-You don't think she retired?
-No.
-I think you should go see her.

Tuesday, November 22, 2016

Check out my article in November's issue of Rochester Woman's Magazine. It's about the confusing state of gender roles in society. Ugh, that sounds kind of serious for a Wax Queen, doesn't it?

Monday, November 21, 2016

Mark and M.E. ad in this month's Rochester Woman Magazine. What do you think?

Sunday, November 20, 2016

Mark and Mary Elizabeth will be away for Thanksgiving. If you need either of their services, please email the salon at marknmesalon@gmail.com so we can get you in Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Thank you!
This morning I took a yoga class for the first time in months. At the beginning of class, the instructor asked us to think about what we were grateful for. The first thing that came to my mind was the fact that, in spite of all my injuries and physical maladies, I am still able to work. Not everyone with my issues would be able to work. The past two days were really busy. I hugged a few, cried with a few, and laughed with a ton. I had such a great time. Today I have to share that I am extremely grateful for my clients.  Thank you for making me a part of your lives.
A woman lives 20 minutes from the salon. She leaves her house 45 minutes before her appointment because she likes to be early. The traffic was horrendous and she was getting anxious about being late. It was a beautiful day on Friday in Rochester NY and most drivers had their windows down. At one point, she wished she had a megaphone so she could yell to the drivers in front of her that she had an appointment for a Brazilian and couldn't be late!

Saturday, November 19, 2016

Love when clients bring me wine! They must realize how difficult it is be to be face-to-face with women's genitalia all day.
The things that are shared in the wax room are what made me write The Happy Hoo-Ha Trilogy and  has kept me writing my blog for so many years. A woman was desperate to come see me earlier in the week when I was out of town. She went to Sarah instead. After she left Mark and M.E. she called a friend and told her it was strange having someone else wax her even though Sarah did great. The friend asked her why she couldn't wait one more day for me to get back to work. She admitted that she needed it done immediately because someone might want to lick it.

Friday, November 18, 2016

It has only been one week since I last waxed someone, but it seems like forever. It's funny how much I miss it sometimes. I guess that's why I woke up bright-eyed and ready to go at 4 this morning!

Wednesday, November 16, 2016

The Happy Hoo-Ha lady is feeling frustrated this morning. I finished the third book in A Promise of Passion series. I have someone proofreading it right now before it goes to an editor. I think I'm getting better as the series progresses. The sequels are longer, more detailed and have a lot more conflict. Everyone who has read the second installment, Passion Never Dies, says it is way better than the first one. I love the third book but am not sure if sure if I should start publication on it or not. I only have 2 reviews on the second book and sales are slow. I still could use more reviews on the first one to boost sales. I started the 4th one this morning. I love my characters. I love the stories. I just don't know what to do. Advice anyone?

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

The next installment of apromiseofpassion.com blog just went live. It's about queefing. No judging. It's a real thing.
Love to read that The Happy Hoo-Ha is still getting reviews on Amazon!

"Loved it! M.E's. sense of humor is great! A FANTASTIC read! I highly recommend this book!"

Monday, November 14, 2016

Time for some old-fashioned hoo-ha talk. Some clients like to wait a long time between waxes. Other clients can grow bushes that resemble a classic 1979 Afro. Recently, one of my clients (who fits both descriptions) was going through security at the airport and they pulled her aside for a more thorough body check. Apparently, it looked like she was harboring something large in her underwear. You'll never guess what it was? Yep, that's right. It was her ginormous mound of pubic hair. If that isn't a sign that she needs to see me, I don't know what is.

Final Mark and M.E. Wedding Fiasco: After two meetings with the Northeast Regional Manager of the Marriott, several things happened. The local manager, as well as several employees were fired after the wedding. We were given a voucher for 10 free dinners at their restaurant. We were also given several nights stay in one of their suites. Although the man we met with thought those two gifts would appease us, he was wrong. Mark assured him we were only getting married once, and there was nothing they could do to rectify all the things that went wrong that night. After some heated discussion, we were ultimately refunded our money for the reception. The pic below was part of our wedding cake. It epitomizes how happy we were and still are with being committed.

Saturday, November 12, 2016

Mark and M.E. Wedding Fiasco Day 8: During dinner, the DJ was supposed to play chill music that the older crowd would enjoy like Frank Sinatra and Johnny Mathis. He couldn't seem to remember that. He was playing dance music way too loud. We asked him to turn it down. He didn't. My dad had to remind him that it would be in his best interest to put the appropriate music on a quieter setting if he expected to get paid. That worked. When is was time to dance, aside from the dance floor falling apart, we did have fun.

Friday, November 11, 2016

Mark & M.E. Wedding Fiasco Day 7: We had a beautiful box to hold the wedding cards that our guests brought as gifts. Once everyone was seated, the manager was supposed to lock the box in the hotel safe. When everyone was finally in the ballroom, we couldn't find anyone to put the cards in the safe, so Mark's brothers were taking turns guarding the box until we could find someone. It took a long time. Since there were other parties going on at the same time, we were worried about someone coming in and taking some of the cards, which had just happened to someone we knew. I was grateful for his brothers the next day when we opened the cards, because everyone was very generous.

Thursday, November 10, 2016

Mark and M.E. Wedding Fiasco Day 6: I need to backtrack one day. My folks and I shared a two bedroom suite at the Marriott the night before the wedding. At 3 in the morning, there was a fire alarm that went off. It was loud and super annoying. Employees pounded on all of our doors to evacuate the building. It was single digits outside and there were dozens of people standing in the parking lot freezing their butts off. I remember my sister and I hiding in the stairwell, because it was too cold to stand outside. There goes my good night's sleep before my wedding day. On a happier note...the next morning, as I was getting dressed, Mark sent me flowers to my room that said Happy Valentine's Day. He didn't forget that our wedding day was also a special holiday for people in love.

Wednesday, November 9, 2016

Mark and M.E. Wedding Fiasco Day 5: Room wasn't ready, place was dirty, not enough seating, not enough bars...nothing else could go wrong, right? Oh yes it could. Not only did they run out of food, when they put a rush to get more chicken out, it wasn't cooked. Yep, raw chicken. Not quite a delicacy in the US. People literally left the reception and went across the street to Burger King. Yep, Burger King.

Tuesday, November 8, 2016

Mark and M.E. Wedding Fiasco Day 4: With 327 guests, we were supposed to have 4 bars set up with top-shelf open bar all night. We don't skimp when it comes to a party. There were only 2 bars and the bartenders were skimping on the amount of alcohol being poured. I remember my dad scolding the one bartender in his diplomatic and insurance-like way.  With that many people, we needed 4 bars. It wasn't pretty.

Monday, November 7, 2016

Mark and M.E. Wedding Fiasco Day 3: When we finally got into the ballroom an hour later than scheduled, there were not enough tables set up for all of the guests. The staff had to scramble around to find another round table and enough chairs to seat the remaining people. They also had to move some the existing tables to accommodate the additional seating. It wouldn't have been half as annoying if they hadn't required me to give them the head count like a gazillion times.

Sunday, November 6, 2016

I've sold dozens of my latest book entitled Passion Never Dies. It is the sequel to A Promise of Passion. The feedback from you has been amazing. Everyone has liked this book better than the first. I'm excited to tell you I'm almost finished with the 3rd one. If you are one of the readers who enjoyed Passion Never Dies, please review it on Amazon for me. That's what I need to make people take notice of me as a writer. Thank you in advance!
Mark and M.E. Wedding Fiasco Day 2: We had 327 guests at our wedding. Remember, Mark is Italian and Lebanese and they reproduce like bunnies. 2/3's of the guest were from his side of the family. The wedding was at 2pm, although my father made sure I was late. He needed to know my impatient fiancé would wait for me. The reception was supposed to begin at 6pm. Unfortunately, the room wasn't ready until 7pm so we were forced to hang out in the hallway. It was very crowded and annoying. When we finally entered the ballroom, they hadn't even vacuumed from the afternoon event that took place in the room.

Saturday, November 5, 2016

Mark and I have been married 29 years. Last night someone reminded us of one of the mishaps at our wedding reception. We had it at the Marriott in Henrietta, which is now the RIT Conference Center. While everyone was dancing, the dance floor kept separating. Women's heels were getting caught between the segments and it was causing our guests to lose their balance. It was annoying and dangerous. There were men physically on their hands and knees using duck tape to try to keep the floor together. This was only one of the issues. More to come.

Friday, November 4, 2016

Women spend an exorbitant amount of time shaving their bikini area. That is why they need to start getting waxed at Mark & M.E. We give people more time to enjoy life.

Thursday, November 3, 2016

I now have an author page on Amazon. Please check it out!   amazon.com/author/menesser.com
www.apromiseofpassion.com has a new entry. It contains adult content. Read it if you dare.
I had a man buy a copy of A Promise of Passion for his wife. She is in her early 50's. She is fairly conservative, so he wasn't sure how she would react to the sexually explicit scenes. Not only did she enjoy the way I write and the story, she found my candidness very enlightening. She asked him to buy Passion Never Dies, because she was interested to see how the story continued. My mother teased me that the first book was very "instructional." According to this man, it has been. It's brings me so much joy to think that I was able to enhance their relationship with my love story.

Wednesday, November 2, 2016

I love when clients tell me that random things remind them of me. For instance, a woman likes to sing the Aussie Kids Song "Kookaburra" with her toddler. Whenever she hears, "merry, merry king of the bush is he" she thinks of me. She said she has even found herself singing "queen of the bush is she." And my name is technically Mary, so it totally works. I'm proud to be the Queen of the Bush!

Tuesday, November 1, 2016

Last week I was waxing a woman who found it quite difficult because she hadn't been to Mark and M.E. since August. She was panting and moaning and squirming all over the table. When I finished, she laid back with a heavy sigh and told me she needed a cigarette.

Monday, October 31, 2016

Five years with my last "wax it all" car and was never stopped by a cop. Five days with the new one and I was stopped. I wasn't speeding. I may wax fast but I don't drive fast. Think he was trying to pick me up. Wishful thinking. He was cute. I wasn't charged with anything. Thank God. Still love my personalized plate. Says it all.

Sunday, October 30, 2016

If you read my blog this morning, I told you about a girl who said there wasn't anything better then a clean booty hole. If you were confused by what she was referring to, she was talking about the beauty of that area being hairless. I forgot to tell you what happened next. In order to give you a clearer picture of the scene, she was wearing was a small, sleeveless t-shirt and nothing else. When she got off the table, she started dancing around singing "clean booty, clean cootchy..." It feels really good to make people this happy simply by waxing their booties and cootchies. God, I love my job.
It may seem a little excess to have written three books (The Happy Hoo-Ha Trilogy)  about my career as a Brazilian Wax Technician, but something funny or outrageous is said or done every day. No, I'm not exaggerating. I have post-it notes on my desk as reminders of what people do and say, because it is hard to remember everything. A young woman told me that there "ain't nothing better than a clean booty hole." Who am I to disagree?

Saturday, October 29, 2016

One of the things we discussed on the Brother Wease show was sexually transmitted diseases. I reminded everyone that crabs have become virtually extinct because of the popularity of Brazilian Bikini Waxes. Paulie reminded us about the time Wease got them in his mustache and beard.

Friday, October 28, 2016

On Wednesday, I was on the Brother Wease show for a few minutes. When I got back to the shop, a listener gave me a call. It was a man. He wanted a "full wax." It took a little investigative questioning but I figured out he wanted a Brazilian. He asked if there was a man who could wax him. We only have women who do the Brazilians at Mark and M.E. He said thank you anyways. I just couldn't convince Mark to do it.

So what happened to that landing strip that I was supposed to leave 1/8-1/4 inch wider on each side? I made it wider by turning it into a triangle. This way, there was a part that was hopefully 1/8 inch wider and a part that was 1/4 inch wider. No, I didn't measure it. Waxing isn't weird for me but measuring the area would be. I'm a v-j-jay artist, not architect.

Wednesday, October 26, 2016

I love when men participate in their wives personal grooming. A man asked that I leave 1/8 inch more on each side of his wife's landing strip. If it was easier, he said I could leave 1/4 inch instead. I thought this was a funny request. Did he actually expect me to measure it? She said he was specific with the measurement because he was a contractor. Oh, that explains it.

In case you are twiddling your thumbs around 1030-1045 tomorrow morning, tune in to 95.1 where yours truly will be talking about something naughty...I'll be on the Brother Wease show, even if he won't be able to join us.
Sometimes I wake up in the morning and my parts are achey and I think, at some point, I'm going to have to stop waxing. But how the hell could I stop seeing the thousands of men and women that are such a big part of my life? I feel like I'd be missing so much. I've loved being part of engagements, weddings, babies, highs, lows... So, for now, I guess I'm going to keep on ripping, because it is still the best gig in town.

I went to Trader Joe's on Sunday for some groceries. The cashier asked me what I was planning to do for the day. I told her I was writing a book and planned to work on it. She asked me if it was my first book. I told her I wrote 3 non-fiction books about my bizarre career and now I'm writing a smutty romance series. She immediately acted like she knew who I was. She said "You're M.E.?" I said yes. She told me a lot of her friends got waxed by me and she heard I was really funny. I told her I waxed vaginas for a living; you have to have a sense of humor. That's why I started writing in the first place.

apromiseofpassion.com has a new entry. It has to do with today's blog. Warning, this is an adult themed blog site.
The first time a woman gets a Brazilian tends to be terrifying. I've spent my career trying to make the first time as easy as possible. However, it's often hard to predict whether or not the client will ever come back for a second time. Last week, I had a woman come in for her second Brazilian with me. I welcomed her back and asked her what she thought about being bald. She told me that cunnilingus was much more enjoyable without hair in the way. Her honesty pleased me greatly.

The posts that you read every day are from my blog entitled "hose down your hoo-ha." I started the blog many years ago with the hope of entertaining people with stories about my crazy profession. I named it hose down your hoo-ha for two reasons; I thought it was funny and I wanted it to be a reminder to properly clean before a wax appointment. Since I started the blog, there was an incredible invention called "flushable wipes." For the most part, they have made my life much more pleasant. Now there should be no reason for me to tell anyone to hose down anything. Sadly, I think some people mistake the flushable wipes for makeup remover pads.

The article I read that discouraged using sugar on your private parts to make things taste better also discourages spraying perfume down there to make things smell better. I agree with the author. I am a huge proponent of taking a careful and thorough shower to keep your lady parts in pristine condition.

Passion Never Dies finally got its 2nd review.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts on it!

"I really enjoyed the second book of this trilogy. So much more is revealed about each of the characters in this story and I cannot wait to read what happens next with Jackson and Sara as well as with Katherine and Ian. This is an easy and fun read that is captivating from the first chapter. Definitely a good read!"
Latest review of A Promise of Passion made my day. I will continue to post the reviews until all of my followers read my smutty romance novels and make me famous!

Great love story! Couldn't put it down and I enjoyed reading about both characters points of view as they came together finding the one that completes them.

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

A friend of mine sent me an article about the 7 things you should never do to your private parts. One of them said you should never put sugar down there. Apparently some women do this because their men complain about the taste and think the sugar will make it taste better. Masking a foul odor with sweetener is not the answer. How about a shower and a Brazilian Bikini Wax? (in that order)

Even though I have been waxing over 20 years, I still get humbled by the amount of people who know about me and go out of their way to come to Mark & M.E. Last week I waxed a bride who got married in Rochester but lives in another city. On her bridal Facebook page, she asked her friends where she should get a Brazilian for her wedding. Everyone said she should come to me. I can't tell you how much that means to me. Thank you for all of your love and support. I promise to continue to give you the best service possible for as long as possible...or until my arms fall off.

Check out my article in this month's Rochester Woman's Magazine. It's only available digitally in October. Let me know if you like what M.E. Nesser has to say!

A client found her son reading A Promise of Passion. He told her he was reading the directions. Kids really are starting younger, aren't they?

As Halloween approaches and you think about that skimpy costume you plan to wear, make sure you take into consideration what grooming will be necessary before you strut around in that short skirt or those daisy dukes. Do your parts resemble Chewbacca or do they resemble Casper?

Saturday, October 15, 2016

This is our Mark & M.E. slogan. Need I say more?

Friday, October 14, 2016

This pic was sent to me by a client who is vacationing in Kauai. I love that Passion Never Dies made it to Hawaii!!!

We are Mark & M.E. in case you were wondering.

I believe women should get Brazilians for themselves. It is a very comfortable and sexy alternative to shaving. If your man enjoys it, that's a bonus. If your man insists you get it done, however, please feel free to insist he gets one as well. Side-by-side services include much more than massages.

When I started my blog, hosedownyourhooha, back in 2010, I never thought I'd still be blogging almost 2500 consecutive blogs later. What you see on my Facebook page every day is from my blog. Although it's mostly hoo-ha related talk, sometimes I share random things from my life or even inspirational comments. Every time I think I'm going to stop writing, something happens at work that I feel compelled to share: women scream for the Apostles, grab my keister, practice their Lamaze breathing, urinate on the table, knock off my glasses, swear in various languages, call me names and the list goes on. The theatrics in the wax room are more comical than you could possibly imagine. Well, I've always loved the theater, so I guess I'll keep it going just a little longer...

The latest review of A Promise of Passion on Amazon made my Sunday. Have you ordered your copy yet? Only 4.99 on Amazon Kindle. It's the kind of book that gets your juices flowing!!

"I read it in one afternoon!! I couldn't put it down! Thanks to a great friend for the recommendation... now where's my husband???"

Stolen Cadillac Debacle Part 4: For those of you who didn't read my previous posts, our car was stolen from the Mark & M.E. Salon during work hours two weeks ago. Although the guy was an idiot and pulled a knife on someone while in possession of our car, we got it back unharmed within an hour. On the day of the preliminary trial, a district attorney called Mark and asked him to appear in court. Mark had already told them that we were at a charity event out of town that day. The attorney needed to make sure Mark didn't give the guy the keys to the car or give him permission to drive the vehicle. After the DA repeated the question, Mark just started laughing and said, "Yes, I accidentally left the keys in it. No, I didn't give him permission to drive my car; he stole my freaking car."

Women get waxed for a variety of reasons: a wedding, anniversary, boyfriend, marathon, bucket list,  to feel sexier, cleaner, empowered, confident, or just because. Yesterday, I heard of a new reason that I found fascinating and had to share. A woman told me that she holds all of her men problems in her pubic hair. When she has it removed, she feels like the negative aspects of the relationship are thrown in the garbage. She encourages her girlfriends to get waxed. She believes that getting waxed is the most cathartic way to rid any remnants of a bad relationship.

The waxing area at Mark & M.E. is inundated with candles and soft lighting. We try to create a serene ambiance that will ease the clients who are anxious about their service. Yesterday, I didn't light the candles before my first client came in, because I was busy answering the phones. After I finished my first appointment, I walked over to the small table in the corner of the room and lit my scented candle. The client remarked that she was mortified she must have smelled, which was why I was lighting it as soon as I finished her Brazilian. I assured her that her parts were pristine and I that kept the candle lit all day, every day.

Mark and I are truly humbled by how far some people will travel to get their beauty services performed by us. This week has been no exception. Clients have traveled from Pike (yep it's a place not a fish) Alfred College (love the college kids) Arcade (sounds like a place with games) Hannibal ('tis a place in New York State not a serial killer) Buffalo (my hometown) Geneva (another name for Gin made in the Netherlands) Attica (you know, where the prison is) and so many more places. Thank you to everyone who has made Mark & M.E. their salon. We appreciate and love all of you!

My other blog can be found at www.apromiseofpassion.com  I just published the next installment. Please be advised that the content is...ADULT.
There are some dangers in our profession. For example, if you wonder why I use my body to hold your leg up during your Brazilian, it's because I'm tired of getting my glasses kicked off my face.

Loved it! M.E's. sense of humor is great! A FANTASTIC read! I highly recommend this book!

The most recent review of The Happy Hoo-Ha.  Made my night!
In April of 2010, I started writing a blog called Hose Down Your Hoo-Ha. Since then, I have blogged every day. (no o.c.d. here) Since most people prefer Facebook, I copy and paste my blog on my Facebook pages, which are the bizarre stories you read every day. This is my first one from way back when.

"So this is how this whole Brazilian thing works. A woman enters the room, gets naked from the waist down, hops up on a massage table and spreads her legs. I spread hot wax all over her genitalia and rip as fast and as furious as possible. This service almost always includes some squirming, yelling, obsenities and even some interesting name calling. The upside of the whole experience is that it is over in less than ten minutes and the client is left bald as a newborn."

This message still rings true today!

I'm sitting on the deck of a friend's house in Florida. There is water, palm trees, sunshine. It's breathtaking. Do I want a place here one day? Absolutely. Mark & I have worked very hard towards a certain tomorrow, but we will never forget to enjoy what we are doing today. No one knows what tomorrow will bring, so I will continue to enjoy our journey to the palm tees. Working with my husband and making women feel beautiful has made my journey so rewarding that I will be sad to see it end. I hope you all can find happiness in your career paths. If you aren't happy, don't be afraid to look outside the box, take a chance, and even make a change. Heck, my career lead me straight to that proverbial box. Don't settle. Life is too short. Enjoy the ride to the mountains, palm trees or simply your back yard. Happy Monday everyone!

Sunday, October 2, 2016

Last night, Mark & M.E. participated in a fundraiser for Glycogen Storage Disease at the Hard Rock in Fort Lauderdale. It's a horrible disease but the research for a cure is promising due to events like this. Prayers to all of the children with GSD.

Stolen Cadillac Debacle Part 3: We now know the perps name. We received a very official document in the mail signed by a judge saying that the car thief cannot get anywhere near Mary Elizabeth Nesser's (the car is in my name even though it was my other half who left the keys in it) work, home, or school  Not sure what school they're referring to. Maybe The Happy Hoo-Ha School of rip, roaring fun? All I know is that he mustn't be in jail if there is a restraining order in effect. It makes me nervous to know that he was carrying a knife. My weapon of choice is a popsicle stick and some hot wax. If he shows up at work again, things could get sticky.

Friday, September 30, 2016

Stolen Cadillac Debacle Part 2: For those of you who didn't see my post on Tuesday, my car was stolen from the Mark & M.E. Salon on Tuesday afternoon while we were working. Thankfully, we got it back unharmed. Yesterday a district attorney called Mark with more details. Apparently, the guy left the salon and was driving down Lake Ave when he got pissed at a man driving behind him. He got out of the car and pulled a knife on the driver. He threatened the man then got back in my car and drove away. The other driver called 911 and reported the incident. My car is easy to recognize. I have vanity plates that say Happiness on them. Doesn't sound like the perp was too happy, pulling a knife on someone, or smart, stealing a vehicle with a vanity plate and creating a second crime within minutes of leaving the salon. Mark has been asked to be a witness at the grand jury hearing. I'll keep you posted.

Thursday, September 29, 2016

I had a funny exchange with a client.
"What does your husband think of your Brazilian?"
"He says he doesn't care."
"That's what he's supposed to say. Do you believe him?"
"Hell, no. Every time I get one there's a lot more 'mouth to mouth recitation' going on, if you know what I mean?"
I do.

If you've read either of my sexy romance novels, A Promise of Passion or Passion Never Dies, I'd really appreciate a review on Amazon. It's difficult getting exposure as a writer when you are self-published and online reviews can help me get noticed.  I'm hoping that, one day, when I stop waxing hoo-ha's, I'll be able to continue to write about them.

Tuesday, September 27, 2016

You'll never believe what happened at Mark & M.E. today.  My cadillac was stolen. Yep, stolen. It was parked next to the wheelchair ramp on the side of our building. A man walked up to the vehicle, climbed in and drove it to a bar in Charlotte. How was it stolen you may ask? My husband left the keys in the vehicle. Obviously, not the smartest move. Thankfully, I have Onstar. Mark called the police and notified Onstar. By the time Mark got to the vehicle with an officer, the man had been arrested. Fortunately, my car was not damaged. Mark thinks the only thing taken was his Costco card and maybe a little money. Moral of the story: don't leave your keys in your vehicle. 2nd moral; don't let your husband drive your car.

Monday, September 26, 2016

A lot of people have been posting their favorite sayings on Facebook. When I thought about what mine was, I came up with a few. I guess one of my favorite expressions is "you have to wake up every morning with a smile on your face and show the world all the love in your heart." Maybe that's why I wrote the Happy Hoo-Ha Trilogy; I want people to smile.

Sunday, September 25, 2016

Today, Mark & M.E. sponsored the Embrace Your Sisters walk for breast cancer. It was a beautiful day to walk through our historic town. Thank you to everyone who supported the event!

Saturday, September 24, 2016

Women apologize to me on a daily basis when they wait a long time between appointments. It doesn't really matter to me. It's important to note that the more hair you have, the more it may hurt. Yesterday, a woman apologized and then told me that it looked like a deer crossing. An interesting analogy I thought. I must say my hunting skills were superb and I eliminated her prey.

Friday, September 23, 2016

I see tattoos on women all of the time. A new client had her arms and legs covered, which I didn't pay too much attention to. As I started her bikini wax, I noticed an inch long blue line on her body. It almost looked like a mark from a sharpie. I asked her if it was the start of a tattoo that she chickened out on and didn't finish. That's exactly what it was. Even though most of her body was covered, she couldn't handle getting ink on her bikini line. I knew the wax was not going to be easy. It wasn't.

www.apromiseofpassion.com has a new entry and a seductive pic of yours truly. Just click on the blog tab and see what naughty thing I had to say this beautiful Thursday morning!
The "Jesus take the wheel" lady had more fun things to say as the service continued. Since she was having a tough time enduring her first wax, I was busy telling her funny stories that kept her laughing hysterically. When I was almost finished and we were both laughing so hard, I had to take a break, she yelled, "this is the best worst experience ever!" Music to my ears.

Wednesday, September 21, 2016

After 20 plus years waxing, I still get blown away when a "first" happens at Mark & M.E. Yesterday, a woman kept saying the same phrase over and over again quite loudly. It was her first time ever getting a Brazilian.  I couldn't figure out what she was saying at first. All I heard clearly was the "Jesus" part of the phrase. She said the odd expression about a dozen times before I realized what she was yelling. "Jesus take the wheel!" was the animated exclamation of choice. Once I figured out what she was saying, my reply was "he took the freaking wheel already!"

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

This is the kind of review that makes our day!   "The only place that can make an uncomfortable waxing service something you look forward to!"
Some salons offer side-by-side massages. Mark & M.E. offers side-by-side Brazilian Bikini Waxes. The conversations when couples are in the room are often hysterical and too fun not to share. Like the other day when a woman told her husband that there was a highly delicate part of his anatomy that looked like a baboon.

I can't believe it! The sequel to A Promise of Passion is at Barnes & Noble!!!!!!
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/passion+never+dies?_requestid=828813
I'm off to get a full body check at the dermatologist and remembered an interesting story. One day, I gave a woman her first Brazilian. I think she was in her 50's. I remember she had thick, dark hair. When I removed the hair on her labia, I saw a funky looking mole. I asked her if she ever had it checked. She didn't know it was there. It was hidden by hair. I asked her if she tanned naked in the 80's like the rest of us. She did. I suggested she get it looked at. Thank God she did. It was stage one melanoma. They removed part of her labia and were able to get it all. Getting a Brazilian may have saved her life.

Sunday, September 18, 2016

Women can be very self-conscious about their bodies and will often share their insecurities with me. Someone asked me if her vagina looked like most women's or if it looked different. Believe it or not, I get asked this quite a lot. I told her vaginas are like snowflakes, no two are exactly alike.

Saturday, September 17, 2016

I know that I am widely known in Rochester, but I don't understand why any technician would brag she was trained by me if it's a blatant lie. A woman got waxed where she gets her hair done. It took almost an hour, was extremely painful, and she was put in different positions than I put women in. The girl said she worked for me and was trained by me. I've never heard of the girl before. There are a handful of women in town who have been trained by me, and they have emulated my technique quite well.  There are also several technicians in town who lie and say I trained them and I did not. If it takes an hour and you are put in a doggie-style position, rest assured she isn't one of my proteges.

Friday, September 16, 2016

When I walked into the gym, one of the employees stopped me. He heard A Promise of Passion was a good book and wanted to buy a couple copies. Luckily I had some in the trunk of my car. It was an exciting way to start my day!

Thursday, September 15, 2016

A two year old came to the salon with his mommy. He noticed that we have naked statues in our waiting room. He commented that the women were naked. As it turns out, he likes to do the naked dance (in his diaper, of course.) Well, little fellow, there are thousands of women who leave Mark & M.E. with their perfectly primped lady-parts who also love to do the naked dance. Welcome to the club!
I was watching a movie and one of the characters said "I get paid to make people happy." That put a smile on my face. Then I realized, that is exactly what I do, in a roundabout way of course.

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

I was talking to one of my clients about her unopened DVD of The Lion King. As her leg was in the air and I was about to remove the hair off her nether region, she said that the movie was in a "just like new box" ... just like her vagina.

Tuesday, September 13, 2016

I always ask new clients how they hear about Mark & M.E. When I asked a girl the other day, she said "How have I NOT heard of Mark & M.E." That was so sweet.  It actually made me cry.

Monday, September 12, 2016

You'll need to go to Mark & M.E. and get a Brazilian Bikini Wax before you purchase one of these clever devices.
This v@gina alarm clock will wake you up with an org@smWe all hate waking up at ungodly hours, trying to force ourselves up from the bed only to drag the lump of a body to run daily chores. My first review of Passion Never Dies is so great! Only check it out on Amazon if you've read A Promise of Passion so the ending isn't spoiled for you!!
One of my clients moved down South, so I haven't seen her in two years. She recently moved back to Rochester and started dating a barber. She was nervous about getting waxed by anyone but me, so she has been sporting a more natural look. The other day, her new barber boyfriend asked her if he could give her an "edge up." She called me the same day.

Sunday, September 11, 2016

Please remember that you need to read A Promise of Passion before Passion Never Dies. Our characters need to lose their virginity before they get it on as adults!!

Saturday, September 10, 2016

This is the article I wrote in this month's Rochester Woman's Magazine. It's a preview of the talk I'll be giving at the Empowered Women's Event tomorrow. Check it out online!
Woke up to this review. It was a great way to start my day! And in case you're in the need for a facial, you should try us out!
As always, M.E. the best--but friend Sue was amazed by facial by Sarah I got her for b-day. Word is out and atmosphere is so friendly and yet professional. Thank you!

This is the Mark & M.E. ad that is in this month's issue of Rochester Woman Magazine.
I have a client who has big, curly hair. It's stunning. She was walking by a man who made a comment about her having big, curly hair on another part of her body. It was said in a rude and demeaning manner. She didn't dignify it with answer, even though she gets Brazilians on a regular basis. You should never make assumptions about anyone. You just never know...

Thursday, September 8, 2016

Thank you for everyone who has gone on Amazon and downloaded Passion Never Dies. I can't wait to hear what you think of the limo scene! I'll be waiting for reviews!!
More men are getting waxed every day, especially at Mark & M.E. We are proud to be one of the few salons in Rochester that specializes in waxing men. Whether they want to feel smooth under their t-shirt or don't want to clean peanut butter out of their shag carpet, don't be afraid to join all of the ladies who are enjoying the benefits of having smooth, hair-free skin.

apromiseofpassion.com just commented on that first time you felt something 'big" between you and him. check it out....mark & m.e. is spreading its wings into all sorts of blogs, books and Brazilian related commentary...
A hairdresser told me she liked my reverse balayage. What that means is that my hair is blonde, but there is black underneath and randomly through the ends. It is a look I've been wearing for years, even before someone gave it that fancy name that I wasn't sure how to spell. I thanked her and started to laugh. She asked me why I was laughing. I told her that Mark slapped some black color on my hair in our kitchen after I got back from the gym the other day because my blonde was boring. It was very casual and only took a few minutes. But I told her calling it a reverse balayage sounded much more sophisticated and thanked her for the compliment.

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

I just checked Amazon and found another review for A Promise of Passion. Thank you for taking the time to review my book.  It means more than you know!!

Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. The book is a very quick and easy read as I found myself getting lost in it. The back and forth between both perspectives made the reading into quite an experience. I would highly recommend this book. Can't wait for the next one!
Looks like Passion Never Dies is available on Amazon!   Can't wait to hear what you think of the sequel to A Promise of Passion!
https://www.amazon.com/Passion-Never-Dies-Promise-Book-ebook/dp/B01L2ICPHY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1473205573&sr=8-2&keywords=passion+never+dies
We offer a product called The Happy Hoo-Ha Numbing Cream that is designed to be used an hour before a wax. It's prescription grade lidocaine, which is a numbing solution. Some clients find it very helpful in reducing the discomfort associated with a wax. The tricky part comes in after you put it on. Do you put your clothes over it, wear a loose skirt and go commando, or even put a layer of plastic wrap over the area? One girl googled suggestions and found a source that recommended wearing latex panties. I can't remember the last time I saw latex panties at Victoria's Secret.

Informative if you enjoy getting waxed. Just wish I wrote it!

I just posted my 3rd blog on apromiseofpassion.com  I got an inspiration from something the characters said on American Pie. It's fun to reminisce about the good ole days...
Mark & M.E. had 2 babies 2 years in a row on Labor Day weekend. Although we feel blessed with the birth of all our children, I'm feeling a little phantom pain in the puss this morning.
