FYI: Waxing causes your hair to come in finer and thinner. When there is friction on a waxed area that has started to grow back, however, the tender hairs can break. Whether the friction is caused by a human or electronic entity, it can still break the hairs. Waxing may not be perfect, but it definitely makes "friction" more fun!

Many people experience a fair amount of itching when they shave. A client told me she doesn't shave anymore because she was tired of "mentally scratching" her lady parts. I can picture the anguish on a woman's face when the urge to itch is so strong but you just don't do it.

Apparently September is the new June, because we have had countless brides come in for their Honeymoon Brazilian Wax!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!!

As I was waxing a bride's legs for her wedding, I proceeded to do her feet. She was surprised to feel the wax on her toes. She asked me why I was waxing them. I told her that the feet were included in the price of the leg wax and I couldn't let her get married with hairy piggies. Don't you agree?

Thank goodness my first appointment at 8am just had to lay there! Brazilian Waxing at Mark and M.E.  is worth getting up early for!!

A man asked me if Mark and M.E. requires a consultation appointment prior to waxing a man. Apparently some salons do require an initial introduction. We have a large male clientele and don't worry about any improprieties. Trust me, if a man acts inappropriately, we have the power. Just imagine hot wax on your scrotum pulled slowly or in the wrong direction.  Need I say more?

A former Mark and M.E. client walked into Wax It All and was obviously shocked to see me sitting behind the desk. The first words out of her mouth were "What are YOU doing here?" I wasn't sure what to say. It's my salon??? For the record, I have no ill feelings towards any client that may have followed a former employee or went elsewhere. I'm only at Wax It All on Wednesday's and Thursday's. If you'd prefer one of our other staff members, no problem! We are thrilled with our current staff and can guarantee you'll be happy with your service at either location.

Yesterday, a woman couldn't hold her leg up during her wax. As her leg fell, her foot smashed against the side of my mouth making the inside of my cheek bleed. I keep forgetting that Brazilian Waxing is a contact sport.

We've always encouraged bringing friends to accompany our clients when they get a Brazilian Wax. It makes the experience more fun. However, I'll never get over how inquisitive people are when they watch the service. I admit that the vagina is a fascinating body part, but it's funny how closely some people scrutinize their friend's lady parts.

A client (who has her private parts pierced) brought her friend to Wax It All to watch her get a Brazilian Wax. The friend had never seen a genital piercing before. She was very inquisitive about where the piercing was placed. The friend tried finding it with her fingers as I started to wax my client, but there was too much hair in the way to see the exact placement. Once I removed all of her hair, she could see exactly where the piercing was placed. Even though she was relieved it wasn't where she thought, it still freaked her out.

A client sent me a message and this photo letting me know that this was "way cooler than seeing Jesus on a piece of toast" and that her ingrown hair "loved m.e." She apologized for being weird, but that is what I love about her and every other woman who has sent me ingrown hair pics over the years.  Mark and M.E. is uniting women through Brazilian Waxes and their bizarre infatuation with pubic hair.

As I was waxing a man's chest, I discovered that he had a tattoo hidden beneath all of his thick, dark hair. I told him that I didn't notice it until the hair was gone. He told me he had kind of forgotten about it, because he hadn't been able to see it for years! He can sure see it now!!

A man came in for a Brazilian and a back wax. It had been almost a year since I had seen him. Since we were waxing several parts on his body, he stripped down to his socks, which just happened to have jalapeños on them. As you can probably imagine, he was very red when the service was over. In fact, there was a certain part of him that matched his socks perfectly.

Sometimes men and women who come in for a Brazilian Wax  express a lot of anxiety because they  fear I will wax off something in their private area that they would hate to lose. Believe me, your precious jewels are safe from me. I just want the hair that they reside in. 

The other day, a client asked me if I'm always in a good mood or if I was good at faking it? No, I don't fake it. I really am a happy lady. I think we have a choice every morning when we wake up whether we want to be happy or grumpy. I choose happy. That is why I drive a yellow car (which reminds me of sunshine which makes me smile!) and I wrote The Happy Hoo-Ha Trilogy. Each book has the word happy in the title, which is not a coincidence.
