It's not uncommon for our clients to wait longer between waxes when they are going on vacation. This is exactly what a woman looked like and what she said as I was waxing her for her vacation.

 This is a question we get asked a lot, so I thought it was important to share our answer with all you ladies out there.

Can you get waxed when Aunt Flo comes to visit? Absolutely! Just make sure the area is clean, cupped, and/or plugged. 

 A woman tried to give herself a Brazilian Wax. She was only able to do the top, so she came to me to finish the job. Before she undressed, she told me that she gave herself a mullet. She wasn't kidding!

 As I was waxing a new client, the song "Rescue Me" came on. The client thought that was the perfect song to come on during his Brazilian Wax.  As it turned out, he didn't need to be rescued. He did great!

 Is it safe to wax when you're pregnant? 

We get asked that a lot and the answer is YES! Shaving and trimming your lady parts is not only logistically impossible with a belly in the way, it can be dangerous. I've heard too many stories over the years about pregnant women cutting themselves in places you do not want to be cut. Leave the personal grooming up to the experts at Mark & M.E. and Wax It All.  We really appreciate the clients who shower right before their wax appointments. In this heat, however, some people get very sweaty on their ride to the salon. Yesterday a woman had an appointment with me but lives an hour away. As she was showering, her husband started her car and cranked the air so she wouldn't get sweaty on her way to Mark & M.E. Huge shout out to that thoughtful husband!

Did you know that muff has been a slang word for vaginas since the 1690's? 

 A young man came in for a Brazilian Wax. It was his first time. After he left the salon, he ran back in and asked "How long do I have to wait until I have sex?" My employee told him 24 hours. His reply, "But I'm gay!" My employee repeated "24 hours." Not everyone has to wait that long, but it is a good idea to let your skin heal before you engage in any type of intimate activities.

 A woman came in for a Brazilian Wax and it took her nearly 5 minutes to remove what she called her FAHA. Apparently it was a type of spanx (it looked like a black diaper) and she could not get it off. It got tangled in her dress and she almost fell over. I was trying not to laugh, but...

 A woman came in for a Brazilian Wax because she was going out of town to celebrate her 16th wedding anniversary. Ironically, the symbol for 16 years is wax. It's supposed to represent the burning passion of a couple's relationship. Although the symbol refers to a candle, I think a Brazilian Wax will create more passion than a candle ever would. 

 A client came in on her lunch break and said I have to "rip and run!" Fortunately, she comes to the Home of the 10 Minute Brazilian!!!

 Client: "This hurts more today."

M.E. "When was the last time you drank any water?"

Client: "I can't remember."

M.E. "Your skin is composed of roughly 70% water so when you're dehydrated, not only will waxing hurt more, your skin can get more irritated."

Client: "Last time I was fully hydrated. This time I'm full of regret!"

 A woman told me it had been so long since she had gotten a Brazilian Wax with me that it looked like a catchers mitt.  I surfed the internet for an appropriate pic but I couldn't find anything that resembled her overgrown bush...until I found this!   

 I had a professional Golf Pro come into Wax It All for a Brazilian. She said she travels all over the country and always has a difficult time finding a place to wax, because she can never tell which salons specialize in waxing and which ones just offer it but have no clue. She drove by our salon and saw the name and said it was "Brilliant" because we say what we do! Yes, my friends. We WAX IT ALL!!!!!

 Some medications can dull feelings, which is another reason Brazilians are so necessary for some of our clients. When you remove hair from certain areas, sensations are heightened. I usually get thanked by women for their increased sexual feelings, but yesterday I had a man tell me that he felt a lot more sensitive since I waxed him - in a good way. It is very humbling to know that our work makes both men and women feel cleaner, more empowered and more sexual.

 I tell people that it in order to properly clean your kitty, you need to spread the curtains. Tell me that this shower curtain isn't perfect?

 Sometimes the music playing during a Brazilian Bikini Wax is so appropriate and oh so funny. At one point, this song says "she made me nervous." My client heard that lyric and said, "You make me nervous!"  And then it says, "Do you come from the land down under?" And I said, "absolutely!" "I'm working on your down under!" I really love my job!😂

 Nothing beats smooth skin!
