 It's unbelievable how many women only get Brazilians once a year. Some do it for a vacation. What they don't realize is if they did it regularly, they would have less hair and there would be less irritation. Some women do it once a year for their husband's birthday. Ok, what is that about? You only have sexy time once a year????

 A woman came in for a Brazilian Wax on Saturday and told me she was sporting a full blown Jheri Curl. Not only did we make her bald and throw Jheri in the trash, she was dancing when she left the salon. It was a good day!

 A woman came in and told me to kill the bear on her body. Although bears can be really cute, the bear between her legs was NOT! When I finished her Brazilian, she told me the bear was dead and buried.

 I know it's cold outside but believe me, it is HOT IN HERE!!!!   We are waxing with the heat cranked so you can go home and heat things up like you are supposed to do when you get a Brazilian Wax. 

 Recently, I overheard 2 women talking about a Roomba. I had no idea what they were talking about. In case you didn't know, it's a little robot vacuum cleaner that does its thing all on its own. I like the idea except that I have random stairs throughout my house and I think the little robot would crash more than clean. The funny thing is I just learned about this Roomba appliance and someone sent me the following cartoon. I love how everything can be related to hair removal!

 Even though the majority of my clients are women, I was very busy doing Brazilians on men this week. Most of the guys did pretty well, although I had a few that looked like this guy.

 I feel exactly the same way.  There is something about giving a woman a Brazilian that creates a very special bond. For that, I am truly grateful!

 It's kind of funny but every day seems to be a national something or other day, so it has been amusing to see what each day is dedicated to. Today happens to be kiss a ginger day.  It's important to keep your sense of humor throughout the day. We live in such a stressful time that I like to keep a positive attitude as much as possible. So when I saw that today is National Lemonade Day, all I could think of was a silly (and kind of naughty) song that we used to sing as a kid. Do you remember the ending????

 Apparently it is "National Clean off Your Desk Day." Although I have an office with several desks in it, when I'm working at the salon, my desk is my waxing table. So you know what my first thought was when I heard it was national clean off your desk day? Is your kitty cleaned off? And then I saw this meme, and I realized it was perfect since I was one of the first technicians to do Brazilians in Rochester! Yes, I was cleaning my desk before it was cool!

 I was researching 2022 hair trends again. They say that using the right products is going to be very important this year since we aren't quarantined as much (we aren't?) and people want to look their best now that they're going out in public a lot more.  Apparently parted hair in the middle that is smooth and shiny is the way to go. I immediately thought it would be cool to develop Brazilian Bikini Hair products for my clients who like to leave a landing strip or martini glass behind. I have a few ideas for products that would be great for hoo-ha hair styles! Feel free to DM m.e. 😂

 Although we are famous for removing hair (a.k.a. Home of the 10 Minute Brazilian), sometimes we actually add hair, and I'm not referring to a merkin.  I like to learn as much as possible about every client that lies on my table for a Brazilian Wax. I waxed a woman today who told me she was a veterinarian. I laughed and said that I felt like a veterinarian sometimes. She looked at me puzzled. I told her I spend all day working with kitties!

 Mark & Mary Elizabeth will be back to work tomorrow after a much needed break. We wanted to give a big shout out to our staff at both locations for keeping the salons running smoothly while we were away!!

 When I was looking up hair trends in 2022, the 2nd pic I came across was 'baby braids.' I had to laugh because whenever I go out of town, I have a lot of clients that wait until I get back to get waxed. Often, especially in the winter months, clients wait so long to get a Brazilian that, by the time I get back to work,  it's possible for me to put baby braids in their bush!😂

 Apparently January 2nd is National Creme Puff Day, which gives us even more reasons to celebrate (if you're a creme puff fan that is.)
