In my professional life, I thrive on making kitties hairless. In my personal life, however, I adore the hairy creatures. Please meet Leya and Loma. They are 19 month old cousins who will be released in the wild when they are 3-5 years old. They live in Zimbabwe and are currently learning how to hunt on their own. When we met them, they had recently killed a baboon. They didn't eat it though. Apparently, baboons don't taste very good.

A new client thought Bandit was a stuffed animal until she noticed his tongue stick out. The very next client pointed to him and said "That is the only hairy thing at Mark and M.E."

I normally don't take two weeks off of work, but this was a very special occasion. Some people get nervous when I am out of town for so long and worry that their hair will be out of control by the time I get back. A client actually sent me this picture while I was away!

The gentleman's brazilian wax at Mark and M.E. is $70. I think I may need to charge this fella a little more.

The Mark and M.E. Salon is popular for being the Home of the 10 Minute Brazilian. We are also known for our sense of humor. We make waxing fun! Not only do we wax women, we also wax men. The Gentleman's Brazilian is a very popular service at our salon. But we have to admit that some men are more intimidating than others to wax.

A woman messaged me about her daughter and a friend coming in for a Brazilian. It was their first time and they wanted to know what they needed to do to prepare. I told her the usual....let it grow for at least two weeks, have clean dry skin and make sure they were hydrated. The mom wanted to know if they should bring frozen peas with them to sit on when the service was over? I told her it was an option but not necessary. Our exchanges were hysterical and I couldn't wait to meet these girls. When they walked into the salon, I asked them if they brought the peas. The one girl started to laugh, reached into her purse, and pulled out an ice pack. Close enough.

We try to play fun music at Mark and M.E. to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Yesterday was no exception. We jammed to old-school music like KC and the Sunshine Band, Bobby Brown, Earth Wind and Fire and the list goes on. My day started at 9am and I was really busy. It was a super fun day and I found myself singing throughout most of it. At one point, a client commented on what a good mood I was in. I told her I was boogying through the bush!
