I wrote a book called The Happy Hen House a few years ago. In that book, I introduced my little voice - a gay Hispanic man named Raul. When I am faced with an unpleasant or outrageous situation in the wax room, he speaks to me. The other day a hairy client came in for a Brazilian Wax. As soon as the client got on the table, I could smell that the backside wasn't going to be as pristine as I would have liked. That was when Raul told me to spray some Lysol on it.😂

 Usually our clients scream for Jesus when they experience some mild discomfort during a wax. Today someone yelled Jumping Jehoshaphat during her Brazilian Wax, which is an expression I haven't heard in quite a while. I had to look up the meaning, because I wasn't really sure what it meant. It is also a Biblical reference which I expected. Just for the record, you can scream to whatever divinity you want, but you aren't getting off my table until you are bald as a little baby!

 I've had several people comment in the past few weeks that they can't believe I remember so many things about them - even if a long time has passed since their last appointment. What I wanted to share this morning was that even though I only spend about ten minutes with you, our time is special and it means a lot that you've chosen me to be your Brazilian Wax Technician. I am touching your most private parts. I make you bald as a baby and happy as a clam. It's the most rewarding job on the planet and I appreciate our time together. Of course I remember! 

 Throw out the razors and try some waxing! It's the perfect time of the year to wax your legs.
