A reader might be tempted to dismiss this novelette as nothing more than something to get your motor running, so to speak. ME Nesser does some things in her writing that break the typical formula for the romance novel. She not only writes from perspectives of both her characters, which is not an easy thing to pull off, she does it with the subtle nuances between the ways men and women think, especially when they are young. She also is one of the few writers that describes first timers experiencing other things than the typical intercourse on their first encounter. They explore each other and appreciate each other's bodies without the typical progression of just intercourse so often found in this genre of writing. It may seems trivial to some but this shows the opening of the made for women type of reading that was in the past, pathetic to say the least. Great job Ms. Nesser, keep it coming, pun intended. 😉

Not only was this an amazing way to start my day, it made me cry. Thank you LJ!
