 As Halloween approaches, it's time for us Brazilian Wax Technicians to decide what costume to wear.

Clients say the silliest things when they are getting a Brazilian Wax. Yesterday I waxed a woman who I haven't seen since before COVID. She was nervous because she had been trimming and her hair was really coarse. As I was performing the service, she told me that it was hard to carry on a conversation with me while I was murdering her vagina. The funny thing is when I finished, she said, "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!" Listen, I have no intention of murdering anything. I like to remove the fur off animals - not harm them.

We are happy to report that socks will not be found in either bathroom at Mark & M.E. or at Wax It All. Why? Because our toilet seat is already heated!!!

 

 I've been called a lot of names in my career as a Brazilian Wax Technician. Some are good and some have been kind of naughty. I now have a new name that was created while I was waxing two friends.

19) We sell several products designed to reduce the risk of ingrown hairs and irritation. They are not expensive and can last several months.

18) We recommend that you refrain from vigorous exercise for at least 12 hours after your wax to avoid clogging pores and irritation. (Feel free to use your Brazilian Wax appointment as an excuse to skip the gym!)

17) Don't get a spray tan before a wax (unless you want to look goofy!)

And please don't get one for a few days after your wax (unless you want the solution to clog your pores and give you herpy looking bumps on your skin...)

16) Leftover oil can clog pores and cause bumps so thoroughly wipe your bikini area so you get the oil out of your pores.

15) Leftover wax can irritate the skin, so make sure you use enough oil to get rid of the wax residue while you are in the salon.

14) If you want the hair to come out easier and more thoroughly, try our water based shower scrub right before your appointment. It works great and loosens up those stubborn hairs that like to stick to your skin.

13) You tend to be more sensitive right before your period, so keep that in mind when scheduling your appointment.

12) Avoid moisturizing soaps on the bikini area. They leave a film on the skin.

I'm not a fan of Dove. It clogs the pores and can cause bacterial infections if put in the creases. Doves are best seen flying through the air loving other Dove birds...

11) Anti-bacterial or sensitive soaps work the best.

I think I would like him to wash me after my wax...

10) Use a hot soapy washcloth in the shower at some point the same day after your wax. It finishes cleaning out the pores and helps reduce irritation. 

Please avoid moisturizing soaps or liquid body washes with a lot of perfumes and emollients because that can fill your pores with unwanted gunk and cause irritation.

9) Please don't fight us. It makes the service more difficult and will leave your skin more red and irritated. 

Although it would be fun to wrestle with Jack Black...
