 Five years ago we started taking credit cards to hold all appointments. Since so many people blow off their appointments without calling us, we were forced to implement this policy. You'd be shocked at how much money we lose every year due to no shows.  If you call in advance and cancel, we will be understanding. Things come up; we get it.

We are also aware that many people find our square system annoying because you get several appointment reminders. We will not apologize for this because we still have over a dozen people blow off their appointments every week, and we are just trying to accommodate everyone that wants to come in. 

If we do end up charging your card, it's not because we are being jerks and just want to take your money. We are very clear with every client when we take their credit card number why we are taking it so there is no misunderstanding. This is a common practice amongst most salons.

But please note that screaming at us and calling us names for charging you for missing your appointment is unacceptable. We will not tolerate this behavior and if you act like an errant child, you will be no longer be welcome at our salon.

 Believe me, this hasn't been fun for us. We are just trying to run a successful business.
